Chole pav recipe



 

Indian street food comes in lots of taste and varieties..Misal pav is one of the popular mumbai street food and loved by one and all. Chole Pav is a litle variation of misal pav and it can also be seen on the streets of mumbai and at some stalls in delhi 

INGREDIENTS


Boiled Chickpeas ( 1 Bowl )
Chopped Onions - 2
Chopped Tomatoes  -2 
Green Chili - 2--Chopped
Tamarind water
Salt
Red Chili Powder
Coriander Powder
Garam Masala Powder
Coriander Leaves- Chopped
Pau
Garlic Chutney



Take Boiled Chikpeas

 




Chopped Onions



Chopped Tomatoes
 



  Mix the chopped onions in the boiled chickpeas



Add the Chopped Tomatoes
 


  I have used Tamarind water for the tangy flavor...
You can also use lemon juice
Add the tamarind water



Add salt, Red Chili, Garam Masala and coriander powder and mix it well.
Top with green chilies and coriander leaves.

 



Heat non stick tava and greece it will butter.
Now take tha pav  and slice it pav into two horizontally. Apply a little butter to each side and put them on the tawa on medium flame.
 Cook the pav on the tawa till they become brown from each side




Now apply Garlic chutney on two pieces.
 


Put chopped onions 
 


and then spread the cooked chickpeas (chole) on the pao
 



Serve them hot
You can also spread coriander chutney if you do not like the taste of garlic 

 


These chole pao are so tasty that no one can just eat one.
