INGREDIENTS

1 Ripe Banana
1 tablespoon Honey

How To Make Banana Mask  


Cut 1 ripe banana into small pieces in a bowl and mash it with the help of a spoon or a fork.



 

Add 1 Tablespoon Honey  to the mashed Banana

 





Mix it well.I have use a grinder to make a smooth paste because I do not like lumps in the paste while applying it on my hair.I like smooth and flowy paste.

 

 


You can also make a hair mask by mashing one banana and mixing 1 tablespoon of raw honey to it.Apply this mask to your hair along the length of your hair.Keep this mask for half an hour.After 30 minutes rinse off with warm water and Pat dry with a soft towel.



Banana honey and coconut oil hair mask


Add honey 1 mashed banana and coconut oil to form a mask.Apply this mask on your hair and leave it for 30 minutes.Then wash it off with warm water.

Basic home remedies for common cold

1. Take pineapple to build up resistance against colds.

2. Apply mustard oil on the bridge of the nose to relieve congestion in the nose.

3. Lemon juice in hot water with honey is a good antidote for a ancipient cold.

4. Keep a cut onion in your bedroom, and you are not likely to catch a cold at night.

5. Raw onions eaten twice a day will help to clear stuffed nostrils.

6. To check an imminent sneeze, press a finger on the middle of the upper lip. The sneeze will subside.

7. Consume daily a paste made of honey, ghee, turmeric powder and salt till the cold has gone.

8. Take a few leaves of basil with honey.

9. Take the mixture made of gooseberry powder, ginger powder and water twice daily.

10. To treat a recurring cold, chew four black peppercorns on an empty stomach in the mornings.

11. For a child with severe cold, mix a pinch of common salt with a teaspoon of lukewarm mustard oil, and apply on his chest morning and night.

12. Inhaling the fumes from a turmeric stick heated over the fire is an excellent remedy for cold.
13. For acute cold, boil a pinch of turmeric and a teaspoon of pepper powder in milk. have at bed time for three days.

14. Make an infusion with ginger and water. sweeten with sugar  and drink it hot.

15. Make an infusion with cuminseeds and ginger powder in water. drink twice a day.
16. Boil a flake of garlic, a small piece of ginger, five peppercorns (crushed) and ten basin leaves in a cup of water for two minutes. strain, add a teaspoon of honey and have it every morning.

17. extract the juice from four basil levels and a betel leaf.mix it with honey and take it daily till the cold disappeares.

18. Grate a piece of ginger.put the gratings in the glass.squeeze  half a lemon into it and top it up with hot water and a little honey. stir well and drink the contents.

19. Prepare an infusion with ginger paste, cloves and cinnamon. add honey and drink it. make a paste of nutmeg, poppy seeds and  milk, and apply on the forehead and nose for quick relief from a running nose.

Applying Egg Pack:

In winters ,mix  yolk of one egg, two spoonful's of rose water and one spoonful of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey and preserve. This must be used once in a week. For wrinkles,mix beaten white of an egg, three spoonful's of oat-powder, one spoonful of of honey and apply on the face.For more dryness,wash after applying beaten mixture of Yolk of one egg, two spoonfuls of orange juice, half a spoon of lemon juice and a few drops of sweet almond oil for half an hour .







Applying Soybeans or Masoor Dal (Lentil) Pack:




Apply mixture of unboiled milk,almond oil and grinded paste of  fifty grams soybeans (or masoor dal), soaked overnight in water and apply.



Besan (Gram Flour) Pack:




Apply mixture of one spoonful of besan, a pinch of turmeric (haldi), half a spoon of honey and half spoon of olive oil.


Applying Multani Mud Pack:








Wash face with lukewarm water after applying mixture of paste of one spoonful of finely ground multani mud, a spoonful of rose water or cleansing-milk with thick coat on the oily part and light coat on the dry part of skin for ten minutes .


Applying Urad Dal Pack:

Apply paste of  Grinded urad dal in form of fine powder, rose water , glycerin and almond oil.



Applying Sandalwood Pack:








Applying mixture of chandan paste, rosewater on face for cooling effect. For oily skin,add small quantity of sulphur to it.


Applying Mint Pack:




For absorbing internal heat of skin, apply paste of Grinded fresh green mint for twenty to twenty-five minutes.


Applying Curd Pack:




Apply mixture of 1 spoonful of besan, 2 spoonful's of curd for half an hour. It soothes skin affected by heat-wave.


Applying Butter coating:

Apply beated a spoonful of butter in water,for dry face due to heat .


Applying Cucumber Pack

For softening apply,unboiled milk with Peeled cucumber,which has been grinded finely.

Broccoli and zucchini fusion salsa


Broccoli and Zucchini Healthy Salad

 

INGREDIENTS


1 Small Broccoli 
1 Small Zucchini
1 pomegranate
Half Raw Papaya
2 Medium Carrots
1 Green Apple/Red Apple
Half Raw Mango/Mango
Salt
Lemon Juice
Pepper
Basil
Thyme
Or any seasoning you like 


Method of preparing Broccoli and Zucchini Salad


 
Take the Zucchini and cut it in cubes without peeling it




Take the Broccoli and cut it in small florets.
Take water in a pan and put a pinch of sugar and salt in it.
Bring the water to boil and put the broccoli florets in the boiling water for 1 minute.Then take the broccoli florets out and strain the water and keep them in a bowl




Take the raw papaya and peel it.Cut it in small cubes .
take water in a pan and boil the papaya for 2 minutes.Strain the water and keep the boiled papaya in a bowl.

 




Take two baby carrots and cut them in small cubes as well.





Take 1 bowl pomegranate seeds

 



Take half raw mango and chop it in small squares after peeling it.

 



Take 1 green apple/red apple and cut it in small cubes without peeling it.

  

  Mix all the fruits and vegetables in a bowl
Sprinkle basil



Sprinkle some thyme
 


Add 1 teaspoon Salt and half teaspoon pepper to the salad
 

Sprinkle few drops of lemon juice and mix well.

How to make tandoori roti step by step recipe

Tandoori Roti is a must have bread in every Indian Household but most of us do not know the proper method of cooking it and kneading the dough for tandoori roti.


I` ll explain the full method of kneading the dough with pictures and then making the tandoori roti

 

INGREDIENTS


3 Cups Wheat flour(Atta)
1.5 Cups Gram Flour (Besan)
1.5 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Red Chili
Half Teaspoon Coriander Powder
! Teaspoon Garam Masala
2 Tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
Water


 METHOD OF KNEADING THE DOUGH FOR TANDOORI ROTI



Take whole wheat flour in a large plate


Add gram flour to the Atta
 



Add 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
 
 


Add  1.5 Teaspoon Salt


 


Add Half Teaspoon Coriander Powder
 


Add 1 Teaspoon Garam masala
 


Add 2 Table spoons Chopped coriander leaves
 
 



 Mix all the above ingredients and knead it into a smooth dough by mixing water as required.The dough should not be very loose.

 



Cover the Dough with a plate and keep it aside for some time.


 

PROCEDURE OF MAKING TANDOORI ROTI




Take a small portion of dough and roll it into a small ball and sprinkle some flour on it

Now roll it in a small circle with the help of a rolling pin(belan)

Your chapati will look like this
 



Take a Tandoor and heat it for 3-4 minutes
Sprinkle a drop of water on the rolled chapati and stick it to the inner surface of the lid of tandoor like this
You can place 4 chapatis at a time.
Put the lid of the tandoor on the tandoor and let the chapatis get cooked.It will take approx 2 minutes .
Keep checking in between.
 


Now open the Lid of the tandoor and check.Your chapatis will look like this.
 
 




Place the chapatis on the grill for 20 seconds and then take them out of the tandoor
 
 



Top them with Butter and serve them hot with Daal makhani or any vegetable of your choice

 

How to kneed dough for naan and make butter naan






Naan is the most popular bread that is liked by Indians and it is served in almost all of the hotels and restaurants.I will explain the method of making naan without yeast

 

For Making Dough

 


INGREDIENTS

1 bowl Refined flour(Maida)
1/2 Bowl Semolina(sooji)
!/2 Bowl Curd
sugar
Salt
Oil
Baking soda
Water

Take 1 bowl  Refined flour(Maida)






  Take half bowl semolina(sooji)
The ratio of maida and sooji should be 2:1

   


Take half bowl curd  




1 Teaspoon salt




3/4 Teaspoon Sugar




Take 1/4 Teaspoon Baking soda 
 



Take 2 Teaspoon Oil
 


Take all the above ingredients and mix them in a large bowl.
Now kneed it into a smooth and soft dough by mixing water as required.

 

Cover this dough with a cotton hanky and keep it aside to leaven for 2 -3 hours



For making naan


Take a small portion of dough and roll it into a small ball and sprinkle some flour on it



Now roll it in circular or oval shape with the help of a rolling pin(belan)
And sprinkle water lightly on one side of the naan so that it will stick on the tawa



Heat the tawa on a medium heat and put water side naan over the tawa.




Once the naan start bubbling and the dough starts drying, turn the tawa over the flame keeping it 2.5 inches away from the flame.

 


Cook the naan evenly from the top side.

 


When the naan gets cooked, serve it hot with butter over it.


 


Butter Naan is ready .
Serve it with Daal Makhani or any other vegetable of your choice.
