How to kneed dough for naan and make butter naan






Naan is the most popular bread that is liked by Indians and it is served in almost all of the hotels and restaurants.I will explain the method of making naan without yeast

 

For Making Dough

 


INGREDIENTS

1 bowl Refined flour(Maida)
1/2 Bowl Semolina(sooji)
!/2 Bowl Curd
sugar
Salt
Oil
Baking soda
Water

Take 1 bowl  Refined flour(Maida)






  Take half bowl semolina(sooji)
The ratio of maida and sooji should be 2:1

   


Take half bowl curd  




1 Teaspoon salt




3/4 Teaspoon Sugar




Take 1/4 Teaspoon Baking soda 
 



Take 2 Teaspoon Oil
 


Take all the above ingredients and mix them in a large bowl.
Now kneed it into a smooth and soft dough by mixing water as required.

 

Cover this dough with a cotton hanky and keep it aside to leaven for 2 -3 hours



For making naan


Take a small portion of dough and roll it into a small ball and sprinkle some flour on it



Now roll it in circular or oval shape with the help of a rolling pin(belan)
And sprinkle water lightly on one side of the naan so that it will stick on the tawa



Heat the tawa on a medium heat and put water side naan over the tawa.




Once the naan start bubbling and the dough starts drying, turn the tawa over the flame keeping it 2.5 inches away from the flame.

 


Cook the naan evenly from the top side.

 


When the naan gets cooked, serve it hot with butter over it.


 


Butter Naan is ready .
Serve it with Daal Makhani or any other vegetable of your choice.
